Who am I?

Hey, I’m Simba.

I grew up carrying a deep sense of anxiety and disconnection. Through my childhood and adolescent years, I often felt alone — like I was on the outside of the world, looking in. That inner unease and disconnection stayed with me well into early adulthood, until a major turning point came when I left Australia and went to live in Africa.

I spent years living in nature, deep in the African bush. It was there that I discovered breathwork and meditation — and for the first time, I began to feel truly present. The land, the stillness, and the rhythm of life in nature helped dissolve layers of tension I’d carried for so long.

But even after returning to Australia and becoming a breathwork facilitator, some of those deeper patterns — tension, anxiety, restlessness — remained. That’s when I began exploring bodywork and somatic therapy. And everything changed.

Through the integration of touch, breath, and presence, I found a level of calm, clarity, self-love, and wholeness that I had never accessed before. My body started to feel like home.

That’s when I knew: this is the work. This is my path.

Now I’m deep in the journey of becoming a full-time Zenthai Shiatsu therapist. It’s my life’s purpose to support others through somatic therapy and nervous system healing — and Banyula Zen is the sacred space where I’m honoured to offer it.

Simba's sessions helped me reconnect with my body and find deep calm. The blend of techniques is transformative and truly heart-led. Highly recommend!
